What size solar system do you need?
Answer four questions — we'll handle all the engineering.
Let's size your solar system — in 4 easy steps.
We'll ask you four questions about your home and habits. No solar knowledge needed — we do all the calculations behind the scenes.
Panels produce more electricity in sunnier areas. We look up your area's actual average sunlight hours from NASA satellite data.
This single number — found on your Eskom bill — tells us how many panels you need.
Things like geysers and air conditioners draw a lot of power at once. We need to know so your inverter is sized correctly.
A battery keeps your home running during power cuts. Tell us how much backup you want — or let us recommend.
Step 1 — Your Location
Solar panels produce more electricity in sunnier areas — we look up your area's average daily sunlight hours using NASA satellite data.
Step 2 — Your Monthly Electricity Usage
This tells us how many panels you need. Find it on your Eskom bill — look for the number next to kWh on the first page.
Not sure? A typical South African home uses around 500–800 kWh/month. Your bill may also show a graph of recent months.
Step 3 — Your Main Appliances
Your inverter must handle the maximum power your home draws at once. Appliances like geysers and air conditioners draw a large surge at startup, so we need to know what you run.
Step 4 — Load-Shedding Backup
Without a battery, your solar system shuts down during load shedding. A battery stores energy so your home keeps running through power cuts.
